- Abstract
- The monograph, dedicated to the Latin American left movements and regimes of the second half of the ХХ - first decade of the ХХ1 century, analyses the problems that practically, with some exceptions, stay out of the focus of the Russian scientists. After the breakup of the USSR, the Latin America come under the influence of the Washington Consensus doctrine, nevertheless it was counterbalanced in some countries of the region by the «left turn», the key goals of which were the consolidation of the political and economic sovereignty of the States, breaking of the US dictate, social justice. The monograph analyses the difficulties and contradictions of the political process in the region, the portraits of the left leaders are given.
