- Abstract
- This article is devoted to the main stages of formation of the concept of sustainable development and the expression of its principles in the strategic plans of socio-economic modernization of Brazil during the military government. Based on the content analysis of documents, the author concludes that the second half of the XXth century Brazilian establishment consistently implemented in National development plans social, economic and environmental issues, which were correlating with the key provisions of the concept of sustainable development.
