- The article considers the development of the Mexican and Russian electoral systems, common and differences in the respective legislations of the two countries. Particular attention is paid to the mechanisms to overcome the practice of electoral fraud. It is noted that many years of electoral experience in Mexico in a number of positions can be applied to the Russian electoral practice, which counts a relatively short period
