- Abstract
In recent decades, countries and integration unions in Latin America are actively concluding into trade agreements with organizations and countries in other regions of the world, which is largely a reflection of objective processes of globalization. Currently, modern economic science offers several ways to assess the benefits and losses from trade liberalization. With respect to objectives and specific mechanisms for trade policy with extra-regional partners, there is no unity between the Latin American countries and associations, by this criterion they can be roughly divided into two groups: North and South. Also exist different specific models and trade cooperation depending on the extra-region
