The review is devoted to a book written by N.Leonov, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Lieutenant General (retd.), which examines a role and place of Raul Castro - Fidel Castro’s younger brother and associate in the organization and victory of the Cuban Revolution, his many years of command over the armed forces, participation in governing and building a new political and socio-economic model of the country.
