Abstract
The Russian revolution in Latin America, particularly in Chile, has become a factor in domestic politics, had a huge impact on the society, the formation of political parties. In Chile this influence in a historical perspective resulted in the emergence of a powerful Socialist and Communist movements. Studying the national press traces the changing reception of the Russian revolution in Chilean society, from neutral-positive in almost all political groups to sharp demarcation on the basis of accepting or rejecting the Soviet historical experience and the Bolshevik methods.
