The article discusses some aspects of the most peculiar filmmakers of our time - Portuguese film director Miguel Gomes. Originality of his creative thinking converts the particularities of national traditions into original experimental forms. A distinguishing characteristic of his creative method became a combination of the stylistics of feature and documentary cinema genres
