- Abstract
- The reviewed monograph is devoted to the old and new risks facing the Autonomous state of Spain. Special attention is paid to the relations between the Central government and the regions, and the possibilities of transforming the existing model into a full-fledged Federation are being studied. The author also examines the evolution of political institutions and civil society, analyzes the role of the monarchy, the Catholic Church and the European Union in preserving the territorial integrity of the country. Events in Spain are viewed in a broad international context.
