Abstract
In the second decade of this century, Mexico is embarking on a path of profound socio-economic transformation that is causing a mixed public response. The reforms cover the leading sectors of the economy and the most important aspects of life for Mexicans. The author of the reviewed book-a political opponent of the current government-critically analyzes the reformist course of the current government against a broad historical background and puts forward an alternative program for modernizing the country.
