The article analyzes the dynamics of foreign trade relations of newly industrialized countries of Latin America and the European Union at the beginning of the 21st century. The study reveals the problems of bilateral partnership and examines features of the formation of the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation. The author also studies the characteristic tendencies of establishing and strengthening trade relations between the parties, which emphasize the exceptional properties of the economies of Latin American countries.
