The article is dedicated to the analysis of the information society in Latin America and the prospective of its further development. This topic is high on the agenda of the Latin America countries, who have elaborated many reports on cyber security. Hence, if Russia is going to develop the interaction with Latin America, it is worth evaluating in which degree the region is protected and its technologies are developed. As a result of the study, one can see that Internet-technologies are developing in the region very swiftly, the regional countries try to inculcate them in the governmental processes (electronic governments) and to balance the economy (bitcoin). At the same time, there are some obstacles on their way, which the author tries to evaluate and classify. Moreover, there are big differences in the degree of the development of such technologies that is why mainly collective measures can be a real instrument to cope all this issues.
