The reviewed publications provide national particularities of electoral law and the power structures in Latin America, the information about the current heads of State, term of their office and party affiliation, as well as the composition of legislative bodies and a calendar of elections in 2006 - 2016 years. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the legal framework of electoral systems, the results of the last election cycle, and the present correlation of political forces in each country and on the continent as a whole.
