- Abstract
- The article will reveal and analyze several waves in the evangelical churches history in the region. At the first stage, which came in the 17th cent, the "indigenous" Protestantism began to develop among the colored slaves, the main feature of which was the rejection of the Calvinist dogmas in mother religion and a return to classical Christianity and its postulates. In the second, in the 18th and 19th cent, the "indigenous" Protestant churches led their oppressed followers struggle against the Anglican slave owner religion. And in the third, in the 20 cent a number of evangelical churches, adjusting to their influential followers, became friends with Anglican Protestantism
