- Abstract
- The article deals with the process of forming a national colombian historiography of the XIX century by studying the most known pre-spanish civilization in the country: the Chibcha (or Muiscas) civilization. Political opinions of the explorers, their assessment of the indian-european conflict of the XVI century and their view of ways to consolidate the Colombian nation made a great impact on the process.
