- Abstract
- The history of the Communist Party of Cuba and of some other Left-Wing parties of Latin America still contains a lot of lacunas. One of them is the question on personnel structure of political parties. In the present article the authors trace the basic marks of the political biography and the scientific career of Jorge Abilio Vivo d’Escoto who was one of the General Secretaries of the CP of Cuba, the militant of the Left-Wing movements in Cuba, Mexico, Colombia and the countries of Central America, who was the prominent functionary of the Comintern, and subsequently became a well-known Mexican scientist.
