Abstract

The book by P.A.Pichuguin is a considerable contribution both to the Russian musicology and into the Latin American studies. The value of his work is in tracing the evolution of the unique dance — from the origins to its’ present forms. The author is not only an experienced tango expert, but also a scrupulous researcher of one of the most original species of Latin-American culture.
