- Abstract
- The paper is dealing with the numerous initiatives of regional economic integration, which appeared for more than half a century of the development of this process. The author seeks to explore their links with the predominant ideological and economic concepts and theories, paying attention mainly to the concepts of “desarrollismo “ and the “open regionalism”. The actual integration phase is defined as “pluralist regionalism”, which principal features are diversity of groupings, models and ideological concepts.
