Abstract
The paper observes the presentations at the workshop “The World System and the Left Turn in Latin America” that was held on October 6-7, 2010, in Madrid being organized under guidance of European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) and the Faculty of economic and entrepreneurial sciences of Complutense University. As it is shown, the presented texts were devoted to the general analysis of the Left turn in Latin America and the concrete case studies of Bolivia, Brazil, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The observation reveals how the accomplishments of the left governments in Latin America have been assessed and focuses on objective limits to the Left policy in the continent as a whole and various Latin American countries.
