- Abstract
- In 1973, Argentina gave to the world the first Woman President – Maria Estela Martinez de Peron. Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner becomes the first female President, re-elected for a second term. In the present century in four countries of the Latin-Caribbean America the representatives of the fair sex were elected Presidents. This is an interesting phenomenon called the «pink wave», in one of the most «machist» regions of the world. For the first time in Russians Latin American studies discusses background, provides statistics on women\\'s participation in the presidential elections. The author attempts to synthesize the experience of these president ships and proposes a typology of leadership.
