Abstract

The paper discusses main issues and key challenges of the WTO dispute settlement mechanism utilization by Latin American countries. It shows ongoing growing interest of these states in solving trade disputes with their neighbors and WTO members from other regions. The authors argue that despite unequal involvement of Latin American countries under investigation into the WTO dispute settlement mechanism, they apply it quite successfully.
