Abstract

In the article the president of the Academy of Military Sciences, Doctor of History and Doctor of Military Sciences, Army General M.A. Gareyev discusses the history of the Soviet Union entered the war against militarist Japan and the victorious end of World War II. Manchurian strategic offensive operation, which participant was the author, on originality of a plan skill of execution was one of the greatest in world military history: it has found the embodiment of the experience of military science and military art accumulated by Soviet forces during World War II.
