Abstract
Possibilities of psychology to solve strategic problems of Russian society development in the system of social and humanitarian sciences are discussed. The problem of society's psychological condition optimization is the one attributed to the competence of psychology. Its statement supposes the elaboration of scientifi c conceptions in three areas. The fi rst task is to elaborate conceptual apparatus of psychology in order to develop system of "conceptual bridges" between psychology and social and humanitarian sciences. The second task is to improve existing kinds of psychological practice and to supplement them with new, enable to optimize the infl uence of environment on person's mental state. The third task is to form and develop the ethic aspects of the problem and this problem is of special concern. The facts testifying to the effect that there is correlation between psychological and socio-economic variables are analyzed in the fi rst pat of the article presented in the given volume. It is shown that they cannot be integrated within existing linear models. The task of conceptual notions' elaboration that will enable to comprehend them adequately is set.
