Abstract
Conditions for Student T-Test and Mann-Whitney U-Test - the most popular methods of shift in central tendencies evaluation - application are analyzed in the article. Effects of violation of the given conditions are estimated by Monte-Carlo method, i.e. by random numbers with corresponding distribution modeling, forming of samples by means of theirs testing and evaluation of frequency of type I errors when using these tests. Recommendations on appropriate test choosing are given.
