- Abstract
- The paper presents a statistical analysis of the main indicators of cultural activities (on the example of theaters, concert organizations, museums, libraries and recreation centers), which demonstrates a fundamental downward trend in the consumption of cultural goods in the period from 1985 to 2012. The main factors determining the formation of a negative trend and significant regional disparities are considered. Results of statistical analysis are presented in the paper along with a description of disloyal administrative decisions concerning the arts and culture in the period from 1949 to 2012. The main directions of cultural policy based on a poll of experts conducted with the participation of the authors in 2013 are formulated.
