- Abstract
The article contains 12 lettersof the Croatian Slavic scholar I.V. Yagich to Odessa scholars, 8 of which enter in the scientific circulation.The letters reveal personal and business contacts between the researchers. The epistles give examples of communicative interactions between the scholarsand they show the role of the academician I.V. Yagichwho acted as a mediator between Russian and Western European cultures.The messages feature the interests of the intellectuals and they are considered as the most valuable historical source of this era.
