Abstract

This article focuses on the conditions of emergence and functioning of the ideological concept "Vivir Bien" as a potential alternative to the neoliberal development paradigm. The example of the "indigenous bourgeoisie" shows that the idea to base a new course on the communitarian Indian practices is unfounded. Thus, the West continues to be the main referent of the internal Bolivian discourse, "Vivir Bien" is only a peripheral discourse within the neoliberal framework. This study is based on the theory of resilience, anthropology and political philosophy.
