(Policy), Senior Research of Political Studies Department, Institute of Latin America, Academy of Science of Russa Military-technical potential of Argentina and its cooperation with Russia Abstract. In the Russian latin-americanist science, there is some analytical deficiency in regard to the problems of military development of Argentina, second South American giant following Brazil. The present article is urged to meet this lack. The author has scrutinized the Argentina military sector evolution, as well as historical and actual condition of the military sphere relations between Russia and Argentina. Recently, in the light more and more active top-level Russia-Argentina contacts, their bilateral relations achieved the level of strategic partnership. In this regard, the additional impulse can be given to the military-technical cooperation.
