Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of art tequitqui of Mexico XVI century. The main sources of research - the monuments of christian architecture in Mexico. Tequitqui is regarded as the art, wich include elements of aboriginal, christian and moorish art styles and forms. The aim of this article is to show the reflection tequitqui in sculpture, wall paintings, stone processing, as well as the complex process of interaction between christian and native american worldviews in the first century of colonization. After the XVI century tequitqui is preserved in the folk art and images indean world widely available in different styles and directions of the Mexican national art of the XVII-XXI century.
