- Abstract
- The article explores the creative writing of Elena Poniatowska, one of the most renowned contemporary Latin American writers. Her books have been translated into many languages and she has also won numerous awards including Alfaguara Prize, Romulo Gallegos Prize, Miguel de Cervantes Prize as well as the Legion of Honor Award. The article discusses the main features of Poniatowska’s writing style which combines the elements of literary fiction and historical construction.
