- Abstract
- Bolivia was one of the few countries where efforts of the Comintern to build the Communist Party were failed. Bolivian communist movement was, on the one hand, too independent, and on the other, ideologically immature in terms of the Comintern. The project of the Bolivian Marxists for the creation of the Pacific Confederation of the Workers Republics as an international party of Chile, Peru and Bolivia was not only rejected by the Comintern, but declared hostile, what led to the collapse of the organized communist movement in Bolivia.
