- Abstract
The article analyses the attempts of Latin American and Caribbean countries to adapt to the changes in the global economy due to the free trade agreements and participation in the global value chains during the World Trade Organization crises and spurred negotiations of more profound megaregional agreements. The election of Donald Trump as the US President, who has already announced plans to revise a number of FTAs, has aggravate the current instability. In such circumstances, LAC countries need to adapt both to the long-term changes, and to those changes that may occur in the nearest future.
