- Abstract
The article is dedicated to the history and political and administrative structure of the Late Postclassic Maya polity of Tulum. The author argues the hypothesis that Tancah was its secondary center using the data from both written and archaeological sources. He suggests the priests' political leadership within Tancah and imitation of Ma-yapan's supralocal political organization (multepal) in Tulum-Tancah.
