- Abstract
This article discusses two traditional popular music genres - Spanish flamenco and Portuguese fado as the characteristic patterns of the multilayer Iberian musical culture, their interaction with other genres of modern popular music the stylistic evolution at the stage of post-modernism and genre modification in the light of the problems of national identity.
