- Abstract
- December 13th 2016 is one hundred years date since the General Liber Seregni, one of the founders and the first president of the Broad Front of Uruguay, was born. This center-left coalition was founded in 1971. Liber Seregni spent 10 years in the prison in the time of military dictatorship. The Broad Front went through severe hardships, before winning the presidential elections three times in a row: in 2004, 2009 and 2014. The author tells about the dramatic fate of the General Liber Seregni against the political history of Uruguay of that time.
