- Abstract
- The article analyzes the course and results of the presidential election. Their distinctive feature was a sharp competition, as evidenced by the minimal gap between the main contenders for the top post. Models and development alternatives proposed by the two main rivals - the current head of state Dilma Rousseff and the leader of the opposition Brazilian social democracy party Aecio Nevis-divided the electorate in two.
