- Abstract
- In this work recently issued Vladimir Mikhaylovich Davydov's book is analyzed (Vladímir M. Davydov. Latinoamérica: rutas del desarrollo y lazos con Rusia. Percepción desde Moscú. ILA ACR, 2016). Stating his "reflections about read", the reviewer, Ya. G. Shemyakin notes that in V. M. Davydov's work are affected main "problem knots" of Latin American studies as special kind of regional studies. At the same time the book makes the impression of the integral work caused by logical-semantic unity of the text. The similar unity is explained, in turn, by the fact that the main semantic focus of the Latin American studies - a problem of a correlation of universal and local measurements of human life has been truly defined. Ya. G. Shemyakin highlights that, in the light of similar approach, V. M. Davydov's appeal to a civilizational perspective is quite natural.
