Abstract

After the Soviet era, Russia's image in Latin America is loosing its images and is estimated on the basis of pragmatic cultural and philosophic elements as well as ideological ones. Now this image is not used in fiction or essays but mainly in the newspapers, in scientific and political literature. I.e. from the sphere of art and literature it moves into the sphere of political criteria. Along with the general decline of interest in Russia in Latin America, the image of post-Soviet Russia has lost its depth, its semantic diversity and polemic items.
