- Abstract
- During the years of development in a democracy was formed rather an attractive image of Spain as a successful state in bringing significant progress in social, economic and political fields. The positive international image of the country became its "visiting card", and the goods and services produced by the Spaniards acquired the status of world brands. Spain itself became a country-brand. The situation began to change because of the global financial crisis, which badly hurt Spain, interrupting the trajectory of its dynamic, progressive development. This inevitably affected the image of the Spanish State. Its luster faded noticeably, and came to the fore not the achievements and successes, but problems and difficulties that created a sort of image crisis.
