- Abstract
- The article deals with the gains and difficulties on the 50 years longli-ving path of the Institute of Latin America. It enlightens the principal directions of its scientific work from 1961 till 2011 and the efforts, undertook thereupon, to create a proper Russian-born school of Latin American studies. It depicts the actual spheres of investigation of the Institute, the scope of its international links, as well as the new scientific and educational plans of its collective.
