The point is the genesis and nature of art and the whole culture of modern Cuba, and more – the whole Latin America, - whose peculiarity is used to be explained by presence of baroque elements in them. The author seek to show that baroque is inherent part of the whole reality of Cuba, but it is present in it indirectly, and this indirectness results in that what is wrongly used to consider as baroqueness. More over, it is the character of indirect baroque that defined the development ofart in Cuba, beginning with the avant-garde age.
