- Abstract
- Catalan speaking population of Valencia (the region of Spain) is commonly treated in academic, social and political literature in Russia as a part of Catalan entity considered to be an ethnos. The author's data go against such a treatment while confirming that it is typical for peoples of Spain (and Valencia is not an exception) to comprehend their cultural, historical and linguistic variety in terms of regional tradition.
