- Abstract
- The article reviews Mario Vargas Llosa’s (Nobel Prize Winner for 2010 in Literature) works, reveals key aspects of his artistic system formation and development. The poetics role of the author in the literary process of the boundary between XX-XXI centuries is examined, and the ‘total novel’ concept developed by Vargas Llosa is investigated, features of the literary philosophy of history, totalitarianism and freedom, traditions, cultural identity, cultural memory, and creativity are analyzed.
