- Abstract
- This article is devoted to the territorial dispute between Venezuela and Guyana during the presidency of Hugo Chavez. The Author describes the history of the conflict and the evolution of approaches to its solution of Venezuela elites. The policy of the confrontation with neighboring state didn’t achieve any results. Moreover, failures in relations with Guyana make Caracas to change the vector of its policy towards the improvement. Although, this improvement didn’t solve the problem of the territorial dispute, today there is no tension between two countries, they have social and economic ties.
