- Abstract
- The article analysis is based on preliminary results of Latin American electoral cycle 2009—2012 that gives the possibility to predict some vector of regional political changes. The author determines the basic factors that influence the quality of democracy, identifies the existed regimes and leader by types and characteristics, and evaluates perspectives of democracy taking different variants of political evolution and the authoritarian trends into consideration.
