Abstract

In this article authors consider theoretical aspects, history and principles of activity of the foreign cultural centers. The role of the cultural centers in modern cultural cooperation is shown. The separate attention in article is given opening history in Russia, to practical actions of Institute of Cervantes – the known cultural center of Spain and the important actor of foreign cultural policy of the country. In article the recommendations directed on optimization of work of the given organization in Russia are offered.
