- Abstract
- In Venezuela, presidential elections were held in October. They attracted a lot of attention from the Russian media. The different ratings reflected the attitude towards the winning opponents. To Chavez and the defeated E. Capriles. A decade and a half of intensive processing of Russian public opinion by world information agencies and biased Russian " communicators "have formed a number of stereotypes in assessing the essence and course of events in a country where there is a struggle to choose an independent path of socio - economic development, where supporters of the concept of building" socialism of the XXI century " and its opponents have clashed.
