- Abstract
- The article examines factors, aims and perspectives of the new integration bloc formed by 4 Latin American countries (Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru) and oriented to the markets of Asia-Pacific region. The members of the bloc suppose to create a common market with free movement of capital flows, goods, services and people. The paper analyses some problems of Latin American-Asean economic relations, recent trends of their transition from bilateral to regional or subregional level. It contains some conclusions regarding possible influence of the new union on future development of integration process in Latin America.
