Abstract

The article is devoted to the different aspects of the three voyages of famous Portuguese navigators Corte-Real brothers in North-western part of the Atlantic Ocean and to the eastern shores of North America in 1500–1502. It analyses different hypotheses of brothers’ voyages’ routes. It also analyses economic and political consequences of Corte-Real expeditions and their impact of further Portuguese activity in the eastern part of North America.
