- Abstract
- Even in Honduras proper very little is known about that country’s participation in WW2: its merchant fleet transporting goods to Russia’s North and its nascent Air Force patrolling the Pacific and the Caribbean on behalf of the then United Nations coalition and protecting Soviet submarines on their way to the Panama Canal. The article reveals newly discovered documents from the archives of the port of Murmansk and the Soviet Navy and adds details gathered on the ground in Tegucigalpa and the Bay of Fonseca.
