- The article considers the history of recognition by Russia of Republic of Cuba in 1902 and establishment of diplomatic relations between the USSR and this Caribbean state in 1942, atmosphere in which the pertinent bilateral talks were carried on, attitude of the Parties towards the normalization of the relations.
